Some people mark the beginning of college football season with the opening of camps or the first actual play on the gridiron.
Screw that.
After this tumultuous and seemingly endless football offseason punctuated by labor strife in the pro ranks and scandal and punishment in college, I can’t wait much longer for football to get here.
So with the first-ever Pac-12 Media Day behind us, football season is (un)officially here.. And hell, it’s only 35 days until the first action on the field anyway, so let’s get started.
Here’s my predictions for the 2011 Pac-12 football campaign. Let’s get it on!
Pac-12 NORTH
1. Stanford Cardinal (12-0, 9-0) – Yes kids, you read that right. The smart guys from Palo Alto will go undefeated this season, putting them in prime position to play for the BCS National Championship in New Orleans on January 9th.
