Mathieu completed the "treatment phase" at the Right Step rehab center in Houston, and was back on campus in Baton Rouge a day before the deadline to register for fall classes. "(Rehab) went well. A lot of issues that I was dealing with, I felt like I got those things handled," Mathieu told the school's paper.
The former Heisman finalist had contact with teammates, but LSU coach Les Miles refused to comment about him returning to the team next season. When asked if he planned to play for LSU again (something both his parents and several former teammates alluded to), Mathieu only said, "I'm still going to train and work out really hard, but ...

Tyrann Mathieu makes the right decision by giving up football and returning to LSU
Late last week, Allen Pinkett, a former Notre Dame running back and current radio broadcaster for the Irish made headlines, when he made some of the most asinine, ill-informed and not well thought out comments you’ll ever hear a public figure make.
It was in regards to the state of Notre Dame football, and the types of players the school should be recruiting. And it practically...

Les Miles references 'Talladega Nights'
Les Miles, better known as the Mad Hatter, is up to his usual stuff again. His trademark is eating grass, but now he’s quoting Will Ferrell movies. While “Thunder and Lightning” is not an actual quote from the movie, his facial expressions and mini dance he does while saying it, makes this video not only a must watch, but gives him a pass on not knowing the name of the movie...

Les Miles Asked About Washington's Preparation Tactics
In obsessively detailed preparation for his team's visit to Baton Rouge, yesterday, Washington coach Steve Sarkisian placed a live tiger next to the practice gate to simulate what it will be like for his players when they walk out of the visitor's tunnel onto the field on Saturday night. This action assumes that Mike the Tiger, a live 500-pound tiger, willingly gets in...
Giving Class a Chance
There have been plenty of players in LSU CB Tyrann Mathieu's position. In the college football universe, team-enforced suspensions of star players have become as common as the twinkling lights suspended in the night sky. Not as common are the decisions made like that by Mathieu, who surprised many by deciding to stay at LSU after the Tigers dismissed him for repeated failed...

LSU allowed the fewest yards of any SEC team last weekend even without getting much from heralded defensive end Sam Montgomery.
