University of Miami defensive end Dyron Dye has filed an incident report with the Coral Gables Police Department in which Dye alleges that he was coerced by an NCAA investigator in 2001, The Miami Herald reports. Dye's attorney, Darren Heitner, writes in the report that Dye met with now-retired NCAA investigator Rich Johanningmeier twice in the same day in August 2011. Prior to the start of the second interview, Mr. Johanningmeier coerced Mr. Dye into providing favorable answers for his investigation, Heitner wrote in the report, which was obtained by the Herald. Heitner wrote that Dye felt intimidated by the investigator and that Johanningmeier threatened Mr. Dyes football eligibility if he did not cooperate during the interview. Johanningmeier interviewed current and former Hurricanes players as part of the NCAAs investigation into the Nevin Shapiro scandal.
