Freddy Canteen This past weekend, Michigan Football picked up commitments from Eastern Christian Academy (Elkton, Maryland) teammates Freddy Canteen and Brandon Watson. They both picked up offers from Brady Hoke while attending Michigan’s camp two weeks ago. They are an underrated duo and both are excellent additions to Michigan’s 2014 recruiting class. Freddy Canteen (6-3, 170) is a 4-star wide receiver. Brandon Watson (5-11, 185) is a 3-star cornerback. They become the 12th and 13th members of Michigan’s 2014 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 1 overall by ESPN, No. 7 by Scout and No. 8 by Rivals. Canteen is another long, tall receiver and is known as a great route runner. Watson is a physical player who also has good speed and cover skills. Both players are underrated due to the fact that Eastern Academy played just three games last season due to a lack of certification from Maryland’s high school athletic association. The school is now certified and Eastern will play a full slate of games this fall. Space in Michigan’s 2014 recruiting class is starting to become limited. Brady Hoke only has 15 scholarships to work with, but that number will likely increase due to the normal attrition that occurs. 2014 recruiting class PlayerPos.HometownHgt/WgtRankingNotes Ian BuntingTEHinsdale, Illinois6-7/2104-starIs on the EPSNU 150 watch list Juwan Bushell-BeattyOLParamus, New Jersey6-7/3304-starIs rated the #10 offensive tackle by ESPNU.
