Soft. That’s not a word a Michigan fan wants to hear describe his football team — especially when it’s true.  The offensive and defensive lines are both just plain soft and Michigan State knew it. They popped Michigan straight in the mouth and instead of fighting back, Michigan folded. After the snap that went 10 yards over Devin Gardner’s head, the game was all but over for Michigan. Why? Soft. The offensive line has been a mess all year and it finally fell apart, giving up seven sacks. And these were not sacks by one guy making a good move against a tight end on a chip block, but rather sacks that looked like the MSU “D” line was having a meeting in the Michigan backfield. Placing blame on the play calling, deep out patterns and fly’s don’t work when your quarterback is getting killed by a four man rush.
