Coming off a game in-which Tate Forcier played like a fifth-year senior, he made everyone remember he was only a freshman on Saturday afternoon. That didn't hurt the Wolverines, however, as senior Carlos Brown carried Michigan to their third straight win to improve to 3-0.
Forcier totaled 73 yards of offense for the game after accounting for over 300 just one week ago. He had struggles all game long. He had a fumble which Michigan recovered, made a few bad reads, and even got knocked out of the game after taking a shot to the chest.
Carlos Brown was able to make up for the freshman's problems. It took him just one play to top Forcier's total yards for the game. After a punt-pinned Michigan at their own ten yard line, Brown took a handoff out of the now-unusual I-formation and cut through a wide-open gap in the middle of the Eagles' defense and raced 90 yards basically untouched, moving Michigan's lead to 24-10.
