For the second consecutive week junior kicker/punter Brandon McManus and senior tight end Evan Rodriguez have been honored by the College Football Performance Awards.

McManus was named the honorable mention kickoff specialist. McManus had five kickoffs for 350 yards a 70-yard average. The junior added a 32-yard field goal and three extra points in the Owls 24-21 victory over Miami (Ohio).

McManus has now made 36 consecutive extra points. In the punting game McManus had six punts for 249 yards 41.5 average and three of those were inside the 20 yards line, a career best.

This weeks College Football Performance Award was the sixth for McManus this season and he now ranks fifth nationally in punting at 46.15 yards/punt.

Rodriguez was also given Honorable Mention status with his career-high six receptions for 74 yards in the win over Miami (Ohio). On the year, Rodriguez now has a team-high 30 catches for 385 yards and two touchdowns on the season.

This was Rodriguez's third award from the College Football Performance Awards this season. Rodriguez is also a candidate for the Mackey Award, awarded to the nation’s best tight end.

Temple (6-3. 4-3 MAC) will next be in action this Saturday as they step out of conference play and face Army (3-7) at Lincoln Financial Field. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. and the game will be available on ESPN3.com
