Since 2002, according to Scout.com, the state of Washington has given college and pro basketball over 80 players. Here are the rank of colleges that are most popular among local high school players. Note, I only took the college they initially committed to, not what school they ended up at., for example (Appleby committed to Florida but ended going to UW)

  1. University of Washington (10)
  2. Eastern Washington (10)
  3. Gonzaga (7)
  4. Montana (5)
  5. Nevada (5)
  6. Washington St. University (4)
These were the colleges with more than two recruits from Washington since 2002. It's interesting to see Nevada pull so many kids their way. Romar has done a great job at keeping talent in Seattle, his biggest test will be in the next two years with Josh Smith and Tony Wroten both having UW on their short lists.
