PLAYERS: Jadeveon Clowney
TEAMS:

I’m trying to think of a more athletic defensive play than the one South Carolina’s Jadeveon Clowney made against Michigan in the Outback Bowl, and not many worthy candidates come to mind. He’s a freak, it’s that simple.

After a quiet start in the game, you knew Clowney wouldn’t stay quiet forever. He woke up.

Oh, he forced the fumble, knocking Vincent Smith’s helmet off with a vicious hit, then picked up the football… with one hand somewhat casually. Seriously, this is as good as it gets.

An unbelievable play by the game’s best player.

  • First off, I'm a Michigan man. I'm from there, been rooting for them since I came out the womb 41 years ago. But when the Wolverines stole that 1st down call, I felt the hair stand up on my neck before the next snap even happened!

I knew karma would come and kill us, but I didn't know it would come that fast, that hard, and the ferocious!

    Stellar hit!
  • How sad....What....I noticed there were NO Blacks invited to the Heisman award ceremony this year...Why? Clowney is the Best player in the land (for sure on the defensive side of the ball) better than Norte Dame defensive player. Stop giving it to the white guys even before the season starts:Tebow, Luck,QB from USC this past year. Let the play speak for itself....Not the Hype!
  • Big deal-- hardly. No one blocks the guy. Talk about over rated. ANYONE could make that hit if not blocked.
  • Quit hating bro, it was a great hit.....
  • Yeah, big deal all season, which is why he is the Defensive player of the year. Some people are so good they make it look easy, but the way he exploded off the line and at an angle is how he got there, but to also read the ball in that split second, land a hit that resounded around the world AND pick up the ball after such a hit takes skill, if you don't know already you need to ask somebody.
  • Who frickin' cares if there are no blacks invited to the Heisman!! I'm African- American and I found this comment EXTREMELY ignorant and boneheaded....
