Model Katherine Webb — Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron’s girlfriend who has risen to global fame in just one week — tweeted that she’ll be appearing in a Sports Illustrated photo shoot.

Here’s her tweet that has since been deleted:

Randall Tyree with 101.5 Jamz in Phoenix captured the tweet. So did Rachel Baribeau, a sports radio show host with 92.9 “The Game” in Birmingham.

It’s not clear if the photo shoot is for a story about her instant celebrity status after Brent Musburger complimented her on her looks during ESPN’s coverage of the BCS title game between Alabama and Notre Dame last Monday.

Or, could it be that Webb might be appearing in an upcoming Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition?

Webb was the 2012 Miss Alabama USA and finished in the Top 10 in the 2012 Miss USA pageant.

We’ve reached out to Webb for more details.

She works as a model in Los Angeles. But she said she’s planning to move back to Alabama to be closer to McCarron.

  • When I saw how she turned down that NFL player, I had hopes. I guess like every other empty-headed pretty face, her vanity is beginning to get to her. This is precisely what you don't do as a woman. If you've got a pretty face and a nice body, you keep it for your man, not flaunt it on the cover of sports illistrated.

    I'm sure with all the hoopla her current boyfriend is probably on edge, he's not blind. I'm sure he realizes that she's very attractive, is she reasurring him at all or just waiting for the right egotisical dirtbag to sweep her off her feet down the road to ruin?

No. Did it say she was going to be on the cover or on the cover half naked? No. She could be shooting fully clothed for something totally different. And empty-headed?
