Via Lost Lettermen:
The recruiting prowess that Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer has demonstrated throughout his coaching career now has a hilarious explanation: whenever assessing a potential player, he looks for what kind of junk they have in the trunk.
To quote the rapper Sir Mix-a-Lot, Urban Meyer "likes big butts and he cannot lie."
This interesting revelation of his recruiting strategy came courtesy of Raekwon McMillan, Rivals' top-rated linebacker in the Class of 2014. In the latest entry of an ongoing diary of his recruitment that he's keeping for 247 Sports, McMillan is very forward about Meyer's admiration of his posterior.
"He calls me 'Bubble.' That's because he said I have a linebacker butt," writes McMillan. "I have a wide butt with a great leg base ... He says all great athletes have huge butts and great strength bases there. He was telling me about guys like Tim Tebow, Brandon Spikes and Percy Harvin. Guys like that. He said they were built the same way."
If McMillan chooses Ohio State over the 22 other schools that have, thus far, offered him a scholarship, expect more head coaches to declare their love of big butts in Meyer's wake.
