With Alabama crushing Notre Dame from the outset, ESPN desperately needs some way to keep viewers, and apparently their broadcasters, invested in the game. Enter A.J. McCarron's girlfriend, Miss Alabama Katherine Webb. Seeing Webb on screen gave Brent Musburger the most excitement he had seen in the first quarter:
"Wow you quarterbacks get all the good looking women, what a beautiful woman, whoa! If you're a youngster in Alabama, start getting the football out and throw it around the backyard with pops."
Sadly, it looks like this will be the most memorable moment of the 2013 BCS National Championship Game. Jenn Sterger must be so jealous.

I ‘ve known Ms Webb since she was about ten years old here in Phenix City. You saw her everyday self; she’s always a very posed and smartly dressed. After all, her interest led her into fashion design.
She did not put-on-the-glam for the camera! And she’s not arm candy… They met at a social function where the two stood heads above their surroundings. She’s tall and he’s tall.
She’s there to support her guy & knew not that Musberger was going to gush like he did. The one-sided game needed some “interest” and the tweeting frenzy got her more attention while they were on the air.
I used to think it was the men that were shallow, now I'm picking up on the fact that women are more concerned with status than anything else.
