Players from Ohio State’s 2002 national championship team hoisted their former coach Jim Tressel on their shoulders. Meantime, the crowd gave him a standing ovation at Ohio Stadium. OSU honored the 10th anniversary of the program’s 2002 football team — the last Buckeye squad to win a national championship.

  • Liars and cheats are always welcome!
  • Tressel was wrong to be there. Thanks to him Ohio State was hit with all those sanctions. Had he come forward when he heard of what was going on he would still be the coach at Ohio State. When he didn't come forward everything just snowballed. No Tressel you should not have taken the spotlight from the present Ohio State team.
  • Railroaded in Ohio

Tressel is a man of great leadership, yes he may have made a mistake. But the real problem is the Leagues rules. These kids play there hearst out and work year round , unable to work part time jobs to have some form of a life . If the College league paid them based opn gradepoint , leadership and performance on the field , these kids would not be selling their rings to make ends meet.

Football is big big money for the Colleges , and paying these kids would elimiate these issues.

On another note, allowing kids to leave college before they graduate from college is crazy! Every college in the Nation hopes their All Star is not picked up by the NFL before his elgibility ends. If the colleges mandated that the NFL re-pay to the colleges when a student opts out before a diploma is in hand. The NFL should repay the college for their investment for the scholarships provided.

You can say what you want , but firing a winning coach because he knew they sold their earned rings to gain cash is a lame excuse.Lets face it Tressel was railroaded out of town on a technicality . Those who blame Tressel are clueless how College Football and its cash revenue really works.....

GO BUCKS ...ALWAYS WILL BE A JIM TRESSELL FAN, EVEN THOUGH IM A GEORGIA BULLDOGS FAN AS WELL.

Kelly Olynkyk: I'd probably get killed if I went to Cleveland

Kelly Olynyk reiterated Monday what he said after Sunday’s loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers: He did not intentionally injure Cavs forward Kevin Love. “Obviously, I would never intentionally hurt him or any player on the floor,” the Boston Celtics center told The Boston Globe. “I don’t think anybody in our league would intentionally try and hurt someone, especially at this...

Report: Redskins likely to pick up Robert Griffin III's option

The Washington Redskins announced on Monday that they will pick up the fifth-year option on Robert Griffin III’s rookie contract. This is a decision that will keep him with the team through at least the 2016 season. The price to pick up RGIII’s option will be a cool $16.1 million in 2016, which is quite the bounty for a quarterback that has struggled with consistency and injuries...

Eagles trying to trade Marcus Smith for another duck?

If we have learned anything about Chip Kelly since he took over as the personnel boss for the Philadelphia Eagles, it’s that he’s willing to part with any player on the roster. It doesn’t matter if you’re a franchise quarterback, one of the best running backs in the NFL, an All-Pro center, or a draft bust, everybody can be moved. Now it sounds like another Eagle is on the...

Chris Paul-Blake Griffin no longer a fragile relationship

The Los Angeles Clippers are supposedly a team riddled with personality issues. Chris Paul is apparently a jerk. Austin Rivers is daddy’s little boy. Blake Griffin hates Chris Paul because Chris Paul is a jerk. Fun stuff like that. Los Angeles struggling in the first few games of its series against the San Antonio Spurs didn’t help matters, either; nor did a few late-season...

Adam Wainwright injury leaves innings void for Cardinals

The St. Louis Cardinals took two of the three games from the Milwaukee Brewers over the weekend, but the wins cannot wash over the losses the team suffered. Over three games, Yadier Molina, Adam Wainwright, and Jason Heyward all left games early due to injury. Molina did not play on Saturday or Sunday, but has […]

Report: Cowboys not in running for Adrian Peterson

The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly not interested in making a trade for Adrian Peterson. Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that the Cowboys have no interest in making a trade for the 30-year-old running back. That could have something to do with Peterson’s age and the money he is still owed, or it could...Read More

Kevin Love injury a powerful argument for playoff reform

If you were to ask 100 people in a room about the length of the NBA’s first-round playoff series, you’d get a reasonable number of responses advocating a return to the best-of-five format: This Love/Olynyk incident is a reminder of why the NBA needs to go back to best-of-5. A meaningless game led to an unnecessary injury. — Llama Buffalo Fan (@chrisskreager) April 26...
