Michigan State reeled in a few talented wide receivers in the 2012 recruiting class, providing a nice foundation as it looks to recruit playmakers on the outside in 2013. The Spartans likely will take just one wide receiver in this class.

Among the targets is the one of the nation's top receivers, Robert Foster. The Central Valley High School (Monaca, Penn.) product is the epitome of a playmaker and when he tweeted a photo of his top seven schools, Michigan State was in the mix.

Foster, as shown in the highlights, also plays on special teams and is dynamic in the return game. His greatest strength might be his elusiveness and ability to see the field. Foster possesses great ability to go up and get the ball in the end zone as well, making plays above defenders.

Michigan State commits Demetrious Cox and Damion Terry -- both Pennsylvania natives -- have been keeping Michigan State on Foster's mind.

Terry responded to Foster's top seven schools by saying, "Michigan State bro!! Lol." Cox chimed in and said, "green and white all day." Competing with many of the schools among Foster's top seven is not what Michigan State tends to do well in recruiting, and it is unlikely that Foster winds up in East Lansing, but the next target could very well become a Spartan.

Michigan State extended an offer to Trey Kilgore this week, and he now lists Michigan State as his top school. He also has offers from Boston College, Cincinnati and Iowa -- schools MSU more often competes with for recruits.

Kilgore, a 6-foot-2, 183-pound receiver, plays at St. Xavier in Cincinnati, the rival school of Moeller -- where Michigan State has built quite a pipeline lately. Kilgore also plays some quarterback for St. Xavier, in a wildcat-type set.

Kilgore is the kind of big-bodied, smooth receiver that the MSU staff seems to like a lot. He shows ability to take a bubble screen and make plays with his feet -- a la Keshawn Martin -- but also the long stride to get downfield in a hurry.

The Spartans have continued the Pennsylvania recruiting emphasis with Foster, but also Tyler Boyd (Clairton) and Jay Harris (Exton Downington East).
