With Georgia one win away from playing for a national championship, quarterback Aaron Murray has suddenly imposed a media blackout.
The school says Murray met with coach Mark Richt and got permission to be relieved from his media responsibilities leading up to the Southeastern Conference championship game between the third-ranked Bulldogs and No. 2 Alabama. The winner will advance to face top-ranked Notre Dame for the BCS title.
Murray has always been one of Georgia's most accessible players, usually meeting with the media on Tuesdays and after games. But he gave a hint that approach would change when he didn't hang around following last week's win over Georgia Tech.
Murray is the nation's top-rated passer and the first quarterback in SEC history with three straight 3,000-yard seasons through the air.

Call it ‘fear’. Call it ‘curious’. Call it ‘absurd’. But, whatever you decide to call it, it won’t likely change the decision of Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray to not make himself available to the media this week. Georgia’s record-setting quarterback has decided not to talk to the media this week as the No. 3-ranked Bulldogs’ prepare for Saturday’s monumental...

Why Can't I Be You?
Texas A&M starting quarterback Johnny Manziel says he's "amused" at people who wear Scooby-Doo costumes to Aggie football games during his first press conference. (Good Bull Hunting)

Skip Bayless criticizes the media lovefest over Johnny Manziel completely oblivious...
Georgia Bulldogs LB Alec Ogletree had a vicious tackle of Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets WR Robert Godhigh during Saturday's college football game in Athens that turned out to be more of a combination body slam and pile driver.
It happened in the second quarter as Godhigh caught a 4-yard pass, and probably wished he hadn't after Ogletree picked him up and slammed him...
Aaron Murray has opted to remain incognito this week as his No. 3 ranked Georgia Bulldogs prepare to face-off against Alabama this weekend. However, his absence from the microphone hasn’t kept tongues from wagging about the overwhelming challenges he’ll face playing against the Crimson Tides’ vaunted defense. While there will likely be no shortage of opinions on what aspect...
A lot will be made of Rambo’s statement that Georgia is “more talented than Alabama”…however, if you listen to the whole interview, Rambo is hardly dissing the Tide. Either way, it makes for good media fodder, I guess. But you can guarantee there won’t be too many more interviews granted after this one. Either way, give it a quick listen.
Georgia linebacker Alec Ogletree is one of the Bulldogs’ better tacklers, and he proved that with his WWE-style takedown of Georgia Tech wide receiver Robert Godhigh on Saturday. The expression “tossed like a rag doll” is one of the most overused in football, but Ogletree did just that with Godhigh after the receiver caught a pass over the middle with less than two minutes...
Breaking down the quarterbacks, Georgias Aaron Murray and Alabamas AJ McCarron, in Saturdays SEC Championship Game:
Theyre asked to do to different things in their systems.
With AJ McCarron, some people think its a knock on a guy to be called a game-manager. I think thats a compliment, because as a quarterback you have to manage games, you have to manage situations and I think...
In all the headline grabbing hoopla surrounding the Georgia Bulldogs—completion of their regular season, a guaranteed trip to Atlanta to face the Alabama Crimson Tide for the SEC Championship, and a 50-50 shot at landing in the National Championship game depending on Saturday’s outcome—some may have missed Georgia’s latest commit, Kennar Johnson. Johnson is another JUCO prospect...

Georgia vs. Georgia Tech: 42-10
-- Georgia put up 14 points in each the first three quarters and shut down Georgia Tech's triple-option offense, the second such offense the Bulldogs faced in consecutive weeks. Todd Gurley, Keith Marshall and Aaron Murray each scored two touchdowns. Georgia began scoring quickly...
ATHENS - The No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs have earned their way to another SEC Championship game. In Georgia’s fifth trip to Atlanta for the conference title game the Bulldogs will play No. 2 Alabama in what amounts to a play-in game to see who will face Notre Dame in the BCS National Championship.

He will not get invited even if he goes bonkers against the Crimson Tide, but he has more important things on the line.
