While scrolling through twitter last night, I was treated to quite a pleasant surprise.  NC State freshman running back Shadrach Thornton has apparently made it his goal to “plank” on anything and everything in and around Raleigh, NC.  Granted, I didn’t know planking was still a thing at this point, but Shad has truly made it an art form.  From the branches of trees, to the top of a McDonald’s sign, to furniture occupied by other humans, to elaborate human stacking, Shad’s on a mission to bring planking back, and he’s unafraid to go anywhere to do it.  For his pièce de résistance, Thornton scaled the wolf statue outside Carter Finley Stadium, and sought to plank atop the highest wolf in the formation.  His ascent and planking attempt are captured below.       As you can see, Thornton succeeded in his attempt, and here’s a pic of his triumphant moment.  As you can tell from the audio at around the 2:13 mark, Thornton has a bit of a sense of humor.  Below is Thornton doing his best Katt Williams impression as the Wolfpack were in Nashville for their bowl game against Vanderbilt (disclaimer: VERY VERY NSFW language, so use your [...]
