While Tyrann Mathieu may have said that ‘Honey Badger don’t care” back in 2011 and the early part of 2012, he seems to be singing a different tune as it comes to a possible return to the LSU Tigers football team in 2013. Simply put, the Honey Badger is doing everything possible to prove that he does care.
After being permanently dismissed from the LSU football team just prior to the start of the 2012 college football season, things appeared bleak at best for Mathieu. He could not enter the NFL Supplemental Draft, and he decided not to transfer to a FCS program and play for them immediately. Mathieu chose rather to remain enrolled in classes at LSU and hope that things would find a way of working themselves out in the end.
If what LSU head coach Les Miles said is any indication, that may just happen after all.
What once appeared to be the end for Mathieu in LSU may now turn into a year long suspension instead of a permanent dismissal from the Tigers’ football team.
