Nease Football:
Yesterday, the Nease Panthers took care of the Fleming Island Golden Eagles in our annual Spring Game, 13-7, even though only a half of football was played for the varsity. The JV team played the second half, losing 7-0. The varsity game only counted. Nease standout WR Patrick Barker had a big game for the Panthers, as he caught two TD passes, one on a screen and one of a post route. The Panthers defense also played well, only allowing 7 points. Wake Forest recruits DT Frank Souza and DE John Gallagher both played great.
This game was also very special, as well. Not only did we have a moment of silence for fallen Fleming Island football player Wes Whiddon, Nease Football honored its greatest player in program history yesterday, Tim Tebow.
