(Source) Husker defensive tackle Chase Rome ended a losing night in Madison, Wis., with a citation for damage to property.
Rome, a freshman redshirt from Columbia, Mo., was cited for damaging a paper towel dispenser at the Dane County Regional Airport just before the Huskers boarded a chartered plane bound for Lincoln.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office issued the ticket just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday, said Elise Schaffer, a spokewoman for the Dane County Sheriff’s Office. The ticket carries a fine of $326.50.
Rome, a 19-year-old backup defensive tackle for the Huskers, has played in three of NU’s four games, including in Saturday night’s loss to the Badgers.
Schaffer said the report did not explain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A spokesman in the NU athletic department said the football staff is aware of the incident and it has been dealt with.
