South Carolina Upsets Ole Miss

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Scratch Mississippi from the national championship picture. Don't worry about even bringing up Jevan Snead's name when the conversation shifts to Heisman hopefuls. And, while you're at it, forget about the Rebels holding off Alabama, LSU and Auburn in the race for the SEC West title. South Carolina's 16-10 victory against the No. 4 Rebels taught us that Ole Miss was vastly overrated coming into this season. The Gamecocks' defense bullied the Ole Miss offense — the Rebels had five three-and-outs and just one drive longer than 49 yards — and showed Snead a level of pressure that he hadn't seen in his first two games, cupcake wins against Memphis and Southeastern Louisiana.
