After learning yesterday that USC QB Matt Barkley won’t be throwing at the NFL Combine later this week, we now learn that the top rated running back won’t be running either. ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted that Eddie Lacy suffered a partial tear of his hamstring while working out last week. Schefter reports that Lacy hopes to be able to run at Alabama’s Pro Day on March 13.
Lacy is considered as the best running back in this year’s draft class. The six-foot-one-inch 220 pound running back put up some impressive numbers this season. He rushed for 1,322 yards while scoring 17 touchdowns with an impressive 6.5 yards per carry average. Lacy had a solid game in the BCS National Championship rushing for 140 yards on 20 carries and two scores.
