Alec Ogletree is one of the top linebackers coming into 2013′s NFL Draft class. However, according to Pro Football Talk, Ogletree may have hurt his draft stock after it was reported that he was charged with a DUI last weekend.
“Last weekend, my client Alec Ogletree was pulled over for speeding and a lane violation in Arizona,” agent Pat Dye Jr. tells PFT. “After the officers smelled alcohol, they conducted tests and also cited him for DUI. Although Alec regrets this incident terribly, he is thankful that there was no accident and that no one was hurt. Because this matter is still pending, we cannot comment further publicly at this time.”
Ogletree was helping his stock rise after his stellar play in Georgia this season, as he made the move from safety to inside linebacker. This latest arrest may hurt, as Ogletree was suspended for four games this past season for a positive drug test.
This may not look right in many scouts’ eyes, and it may make them avoid Ogletree. Likely however, all he needs is someone to get his head straight and he’ll be fine, because no one wants to see another Kenny Britt. He’s still a first-rounder probably.

I have Olgetree rated the best LB in this year’s draft, but I rather have a Linebacker with a fake girlfriend than one who drives drunk.
Olgetree needs to get his life in order because no matter how talented you are, you can easily drink yourself right out of the league. This isn’t the first time Olgetree has been in trouble and it should be a red flag for NFL teams.
“Last...
