Seemingly, all of the numerous NFL draft websites and experts have agreed that former University of Cincinnati quarterback Tony Pike, a fact which I find both amazing and disheartening. Possessing the knowledge that there are those who actually think Pike is a viable quarterback draft prospect is amazing because nothing could be further from the truth and it is disheartening because it once again demonstrates how little most people have learned about judging which college quarterbacks will be good pros. This is not to say that Tony Pike is the worst quarterback who is available to be drafted (that award goes to Jevan Snead), but Pike is definitely not worth a draft pick. In the Dan LeFevour post, I mentioned offensive coordinator Jeff Quinn, whom LeFevour played for his freshman year before Quinn brought his no-huddle spread offense to the University of Cincinnati.
