Maybe Saban won't get everything he wants for once, if the SEC has anything to say about it. Adam Hagy-USA TODAY Sports

It seems as if Alabama head coach Nick Saban goes through more offensive coordinators than the Cleveland Browns go through quarterbacks. Fresh off news that Brian Daboll has left the program after one season to become the Buffalo Bills’ new offensive coordinator, Saban is now looking for a replacement.

According to TideSports.com, Saban is looking into the possibility of bringing in former Mississippi head coach Hugh Freeze to replace Daboll as offensive coordinator.

Freeze was forced to resign from Ole Miss this past July after a scandal forced the program into probation. He’s not exactly a blue-chip representation of everything being on the up and up in college athletics.

The very same TideSports.com columnist is now reporting that the SEC itself might block Saban from hiring Freeze.

“Another aspect to this is that should Alabama decided to hire Freeze as an on-the-field coach, it would likely need the blessing of SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey. Sankey isn’t keen on that happening,” the report read.

In addition to this, other members of the Alabama football program are not on board with Saban bringing Freeze into the mix.

The NCAA levied a two-game suspension Freeze’s way for his role in the Ole Miss’ scandal. Though, that only happens should he be hired as a head coach.

In any event, this is definitely a story to keep an eye on as Saban and his Crimson Tide look to repeat as national champs next season.
