TEAMS:
On Wednesday, USA Today released their compilation of athletic department revenue for all the public universities across the country.  It's not exactly shocking news to see that Texas continues to lead the country in revenue by over $20 million. The Longhorns raked in over $163 million of revenue in 2012 which netted a profit of $25 million.  The Longhorns top line was nearly three times that of Iowa State who generated the smallest revenue in the Big 12 (it should be noted that since Baylor and TCU are private schools, they are not required to make their financial information public).…

Oklahoma quarterback Kendal Thompson arrested

Oklahoma sophomore quarterback Kendal Thompson has been arrested for public intoxication and refusing to obey a police officer's orders. School spokesman Pete Moris issued a statement Friday saying OU officials are aware of the arrest ''and are handling it internally.'' Moris said coach Bob Stoops was not available for comment. Oklahoma City television station...

Nick Saban doesn’t have time for Bob Stoops’ anti-SEC remarks

Nick Saban does not have time for Bob Stoops’ anti-SEC remarks. He made that clear when speaking with reporters on Thursday, though he did say it in a nice way. First, let’s start with Stoops’ comments. During a caravan stop in Tulsa, the Oklahoma coach defended the Big 12 and said all the hype surrounding the SEC was “propaganda.” “It depends on who you want to listen...

Bob Stoops Rips The SEC, Says It’s Not Strongest Conference

Oklahoma head football coach Bob Stoops is tired of hearing about the South Eastern Conference being the best conference college football. Stoops won’t deny that the top half of the SEC is dominant and stout with the likes of Alabama, LSU, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Texas A&M. After that though, Stoops isn’t buying the SEC as a power, and recently took the time...

Saints Nation: Oklahoma Blogger's Thoughts on Kenny Stills

Like with Jenkins I also reached out to a Oklahoma blogger, this time right here on the Bloguin Network, to get a little info on our job Kenny Stills. Allen Kenney of Blatant Homerism was nice enough to give me a little input on the Saints' new receiver. Make sure you check this guy out on twitter too. I didn't get his input on this ridiculous picture of Stills that you&...

Oklahoma Head Coach Bob Stoops is Ignoring the Obvious

Bob Stoops, the head football coach for the Oklahoma Sooners, got a lot of attention recently with some comments he made about the SEC. In a nutshell he called the conference overrated and over-hyped. He inferred that the conference as whole is not all that the talking heads in the media want us to believe it is. It certainly is not the best. That honor goes to the Big 12--and...

Oklahoma QB Kendal Thompson Arrested For Public Intoxication, Interfering With Police

According to  SoonerScoop.com, Oklahoma backup quarterback Kendal Thompson was arrested early Friday morning for public intoxication and interfering with a police officer. Stoops and Oklahoma have yet to comment on the arrest...

Stoops Vs. SEC: Does Stoops Have A Point? Absolutely

Oklahoma’s Bob Stoops has chosen to take the David versus Goliath approach to making a point or two about the SEC propaganda.  It is interesting how much press and controversy Coach Stops comments have generated based on some fairly benign comments.   After all, he didn’t say the were overrated or that they did not deserve to win the last seven National Championships.  He...

OU Sophomore QB Kendal Thompson Arrested In Norman

SoonerScoop.com has reported that contending OU quarterback Kendal Thompson was arrested at 2:17AM today by the Norman Police for public intoxication and interfering with a police officer. It is too early to speculate on what type of punishment will be handed down by Coach Stoops as he treats most of these type of issues as internal only.  Very rarely is a public statement made...
