Florida State's run in the NCAA Tournament ended one round shorter than it went last season, when it lasted until the Sweet 16, as the 'Noles lost a 62-56 decision Sunday to Cincinnati in Nashville.
Florida State struggled momentarily back in its own park, falling behind Virginia 3-0 on Saturday. But the Seminoles scored the last 12 runs of the contest to win a 12-3 laugher over the Cavaliers.

Winning another ballgame of the comeback variety, Florida State fell behind early but managed to rally late Sunday against Virginia. It was the second win in two days for the Seminoles over the Cavs.
Florida State managed to keep its momentum after grinding out a sweep of Virginia over the course of the previous three days, plating 17 runs on visiting Stetson at Dick Howser Stadium on Tuesday.
