Points could be difficult to come by when sixth-ranked Florida visits No. 10 Florida State. The Seminoles (10-1, 7-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) lead the nation in total defense and rank among the top five in four other defensive categories while Florida (10-1, 7-1 Southeastern Conference) isn't far behind, going into Saturday's game ranked fourth nationally in total defense. Florida State is giving up 13.1 points and 236.3 yards a game while Florida has allowed 11.8 points and 328.8 yards a game. Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher says there's no chance his team is looking ahead to next week's ACC championship game against Georgia Tech. Florida wraps up its regular season although the Gators could still be in the BCS national championship hunt with a win and some help from others.

Florida State fan screws up her facepaint

A female Florida State Seminoles fan caught the attention of ESPN cameras with her facepaint during Saturday's game against the Florida Gators. Unfortunately, the fan may now be regretting painting her face to get some extra attention after she made the mistake of applying the FSU lettering on her face backwards. To top things off, Florida defeated FSU 37-26, so she will probably...

Just how important are Clemson’s and Florida State’s games against their in-state rivals Saturday?

Now that I have little time to blog there are a couple of huge games Saturday for Clemson and Florida State. I posted the ACCDN’s preview the other day for them… , but here’s my thoughts on the game, not from a matchup standpoint, but from the perspective of how important these games are for the two programs. Let’s not kid ourselves the ACC isn’t very good this year beyond...

Clemson, FSU facing statement games versus in-state rivals

Let’s not kid ourselves the ACC isn’t very good this year beyond Clemson and Florida State, and neither team has a signature OOC win. The Tigers did beat Auburn early in the year which was a good win at the at the time, but considering Auburn might be an underdog to Kentucky and Colorado today, they might be one of the 5 worst BCS conference teams in America. That win doesn...

NoleDigest Take: FSU Offense

After an abysmal first half the Florida State offense showed signs of life in the third quarter, but were unable to sustain the success. A late drive may have padded the stats, but it did not erase what was a very uneven performance Saturday afternoon.

No. 10 FSU seeking respect vs. No. 6 Florida

Florida State would like nothing better than to win some respect at the hands of archrival Florida. While both teams have one loss, the Gators are No. 6 weekly while the Seminoles are four spots below at No. 10. The difference, apparently, is the teams they've played. The Gators, whose lone loss is to No. 3 Georgia, will be hunting for their third win this season over a top...
