Coach Dan Mullen and his staff were hot on the recruiting trail this year looking for offensive playmakers especially at the wide receiver position. With the departure of several notables including school record holder Chad Bumphis, the Bulldogs needed some pass catchers to come in to contribute this fall and beyond.

The last pieces of Dan Mullen’s 2013 staff are fitting into places in time for everyone to get working together on the upcoming and crucial spring practice period. Though not officially confirmed, Mississippi State sources affirm the hiring of SEC veteran Billy Gonzales as receivers coach.
Mississippi State knew the challenge at hand prior to a second meeting with No. 2 Florida. The Bulldogs came ready to battle, competed hard, but did not have enough answers on either end of the floor.

For most, Sunday is a day of rest. For the Mississippi State women's basketball team, it is another day to grind out a victory in the Southeastern Conference. The Bulldogs made it three straight Sunday afternoon victories in league play with a hard-fought 61-56 victory over Missouri at the Mizzou Arena.
On a beautiful day under the Mississippi sun, the Mississippi State softball team outscored two opponents by a combined 17-1 margin en route to a doubleheader sweep against Tennessee State and Georgia State on Saturday at the MSU Softball Stadium. The Bulldogs beat the Tigers, 8-0, in six innings, and followed it up with a 9-1 five-inning win against the Panthers.
