Danny Hope added one more to its class on Wednesday when Jason King, a well built offensive guard from Arkansas, committed to the Boilers.
King has the luxury of already having the size of a major college program offensive guard. At 6-4 and 302 lbs., King has great strength for a high school senior. That said, it’s always tough for offensive linemen to play right away at the next level, so don’t be surprised if King redshirts despite his size.
He looks to project as an offensive guard at the next level and it doesn’t look like he’ll be moved to offensive tackle, center, or elsewhere. King chose Purdue over Kansas and also had offers from Colorado, Arkansas State, and Louisiana Tech, among others. He’s rated as a 75 by ESPN (which equates to a 3 star recruit), a 2 star by rivals.com, and a 2 star by scout.com.
He has bright red hair in his scout.com profile, so he will be replacing Joe Holland’s awesome orange-red hair next year. King is the fourth...

Purdue 81, IPFW 56

Robbie Hummel added 10 points and a season-high 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the year. Kelsey Barlow, Lewis Jackson and Ryne Smith also had 10 points apiece for the Boilermakers (10-3).
Purdue bounced back from a last-second loss to Butler on Saturday and increased...
Purdue Ends Non-Conference Slate with Easy Win over ‘Dons
Purdue capped off its pre-Big Ten schedule on Tuesday night against the IPFW Mastodons. After a let-down loss against Butler, it must have felt nice for Purdue’s players to take out some frustration on the in-state combination branch campus of IU and Purdue. The Boilers easily won 81-56.
Here are my game notes:
Anthony Johnson was the first off the bench after only logging...
