The folks in Ohio have their priorities straight. In a recent poll, almost 60% of Buckeye State citizens said they'd rather suffer through a horrible economy than suffer through an OSU loss to Michigan.

  • That is why I don't read the Dispatch! I am an OSU fan, but if it meant fixing our economy and one year losing to the folks up north after beating them so many times I would take the one loss. Rod will get fired either way and Tress owns U of M and will continue to own them.

Who's fan base wouldn't answer this question this way? They wouldn't be very good fans now would they?
  • Well, the economy is going to be what its going to be. Might as well beat Michigan.
  • One of the reasons that Buckeye fans, at least Columbus-based Buckeye fans, may have answered that way is that Columbus really hasn't seen the effects of the bad economy compared to other parts of the state, and well, most of the rest of the country.

California, Texas and Ohio are the only US states with self-sufficient economies.
  • To set the record straight for all you buckeye fans out there, michigan overall hasa been thise bucks by a margin of 16 wins so does your statement reflect your meaning ... GO BLUE !!!!
  • Umm... that makes sense.
