The Oklahoma Sooners added two new players to their active roster this week after the NCAA declared them eligible.
Incoming tight end Taylor McNamara, a native of San Diego, tweeted, “CLEARED!” on Wednesday upon hearing the news. McNamara is rated the No. 2 tight end by Rivals.com.
2011 wide receiver signee Trey Metoyer was also cleared this week. His father, David, confirmed Thursday his son was cleared to play and that the 5-star receiver would be on campus later in the week.
The Sooners also announced the addition of three junior college transfers and 2011 signee Jordan Wade to the active roster this morning. Cornerback Kass Everett, tight end Brannon Green and defensive end Chaz Nelson, along with Wade, have been on campus and taking classes since the beginning of the semester.
