If there is one thing that we know about Charlie Strong, it’s that he has always been able to find a way to motivate his team. If there is someone out there that isn’t giving the Louisville football team much respect, he’ll make sure his players know about it.
When you’re one of the best teams in the country and you have a schedule filled with lackluster opponents, this strategy is important. Considering most media outlets have the Cardinals pegged as a preseason top ten team, it may be a little harder to find bulletin board material in 2013. However, there is one outlet that decided to throw Coach Strong a bone.
CollegeFootballNews.com has released their predictions for the American Conference and they have the Louisville Cardinals finishing in third place this season.
CollegeFootballNews.com ACC Predictions

Louisville head coach Charlie Strong and Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops both met and spoke to the media on Wednesday afternoon at the annual Governor’s Cup Luncheon. Below is a brief recap of Charlie Strong’s comments.
Coach Strong opened the press conference by saying that last year’s success will not determine this year’s success. He also went on to talk about how his...
As you could expect, one of the many questions that Charlie Strong was asked yesterday at the annual Governor’s Cup Luncheon was about the possible new additions to the roster. No one actually mentioned the name Michael Dyer, but I guarantee that is exactly who the media was inquiring about.
Although Strong says there are no new members to the football team, he also made some comments...
Among the bar conversations and sauna debates this offseason, Louisville’s high card to our royal flush has been the ace our their hearts, Teddy Bridgewater. Demonstrating last year just how valuable he is, it comes as no surprise that he’s got everyone talking about his career beyond the University of Louisville. Sure, having Ted assures Card faithful that everything will be...
It’s been around 48-hours since the “Michael Dyer to Louisville” speculation started heating up. Unfortunately, 48-hours later we don’t have much of an update.
At this point, what we do know is that Michael Dyer is looking for a school to play for. However, both sides are not openly talking about the situation.
I can’t officially confirm this because the university isn’t...
The national championship Louisville Cardinals basketball team has taken over D.C. — Pitino and the players have been touring the White House and even brought President Obama a custom jersey. As if all of this isn’t hard enough for Kentucky fans, the commander-in-chief took an extra shot at the Wildcats.
While congratulating Louisville on its third national championship, Obama...
Yesterday, the Louisville Cardinals received their sparkling championship rings from their April run to the national title. Today, the squad gets to tour the White House, and they even brought President Obama a custom Louisville jersey. Apparently the tour isn’t that exciting though — Gorgui Dieng snapped this photo of former teammate Chane Behanan: Chane is sleeping at the...
Sophomore fullback Tyler Sharp had opportunities to play elsewhere, but the product of Louisville Butler chose to chase his dream of playing for the Cardinals. Now the walk-on finds himself atop the depth chart heading into fall camp.
Tuesday was a busy day for the Louisville men's basketball team, which visited the White House to be honored for winning the NCAA championship in April.
It was so busy, in fact, that one Cardinals player -- forward Chane Behanan -- had to pause for a quick cat nap while the team was at the president's crib:

Former Auburn running back Michael Dyer has become the most talked about man amongst the Louisville fan base over the past 48-hours.
Particularly when he told Grantland.com on Thursday that he had picked a school. Dyer didn’t say which school it was, but it’s believed to be the University of Louisville.
During his time away from football, Dyer was enrolled at Arkansas Baptist...
Just after leaving the White House on Tuesday, Rick Pitino and his entire coaching staff headed to Las Vegas to pick up where they left off with recruiting. There are two big AAU tournaments going on in Vegas right now. The Fab 48, Adidas Super 64 and Las Vegas Classic will run until the end of the weekend.
All three of Louisville’s current commitments will be in Vegas this weekend...
Yesterday we showed you Louisville’s new championship rings. Today, the players get to show them off to President Obama.
The team is on its way to the White House and is bringing the president a gift. Dan Dry, who is traveling with the Cardinals, tweeted out this Instagram photo of Rick Pitino holding up a custom Louisville jersey for Obama:
It looks like...
Instead of meeting the President of the United States earlier this week with his teammates, Louisville guard Russ Smith was in Estonia preparing to play for the East Coast All Stars in the annual Four Nation’s Cup.
The team had a scrimmage on Tuesday and had their first contest on Thursday morning against Belarus. As you could expect, Russ played very well and was the star of the...
For whatever reason, Louisville guard Kevin Ware wasn’t made available for comment during the team’s visit to the White House earlier this week. However, that doesn’t mean his name wasn’t mentioned numerous times.
“And then, of course, there’s Kevin Ware,” Obama said as he mentioned the key pieces for Louisville’s national championship team.”I told him to say hi...
Rick Pitino and his staff are currently spending the majority of their time trying to wrap up with the 2014 recruiting class, but they’re also evaluating prospects from the 2015 class.
Luke Kennard, a 6-foot-5, combo guard from Franklin, OH., is one of the few in the 2015 class that recently picked up a scholarship offer from Louisville. Kennard is currently ranked as a four star...
