On December 30th the Oregon Ducks will take on the Texas Longhorns in the Alamo Bowl, but they’ll be without their starting tight end Pharaoh Brown. The 6’6″ sophomore will be standing on the sidelines after being suspended by head coach Mark Helfrich for his participation in an on-campus snowball fight that got a little out of hand.
What began as nothing more than a harmless snowball fight turned into a game of harass the passing vehicles. Besides pelting the vehicles that crossed their path with snowballs, the crowd also dumped snow on any driver that decided to confront the group. All harmless fun in the eyes of the participants, but not so much in the eyes of those on the receiving end.
The good news is that the drivers are not pressing charges. The bad news is that more suspensions might be in the works as additional information filters in.

The University of Oregon issued a statement from tight end Pharaoh Brown on Monday afternoon regarding Brown's role in an incident involving a motorist on the campus of the University last Friday. Brown apologized for his actions. Brown has been suspended from participating in the Alamo Bowl which will be played on Dec. 30, in San Antonio.
The final game of the season, and of the BCS era, for the Oregon Ducks, was just announced. On December 30, Oregon will head to the Alamodome in San Antonio to play the Texas Longhorns. Texas is 8-4 this season, after losing the Big-12 title game to Baylor, and was ranked #25 before this week’s game. Going into the Valero Alamo Bowl, Oregon is ranked #10 with a 10-2 record.
