One draft hopeful that has been linked to the Pittsburgh Steelers for the last several weeks is Oregon linebacker/defensive end Dion Jordan. On Saturday Jordan announced at the NFL Scouting Combine that he'll have surgery to repair a torn labrum.
With his surgery just now taking place, Jordan is expected to be out of commission for at least three months, and maybe more. This time out means that he will miss working out at his pro day and it could cause him to miss the entire offseason program with the team that winds up drafting him. Jordan is, however, expected to be ready for training camp.
