Oregon State has been having a dream season with a 4-0 record, wins over Wisconsin, UCLA, and Arizona, and way too much talk about "Beaver Juice." Sadly, the dream may be coming to an end as starting quarterback Sean Mannion will half to get knee surgery, and will be out for "an undisclosed amount of time."
"KEZI-TV tweeted that
Oregon State coach Mike Riley said Mannion needs knee surgery and will
be out an undisclosed amount of time. That's a huge blow for the
Beavers, who are 4-0 and tied atop the Pac-12's North Division with
in-state rival Oregon at 3-0 in conference.Mannion, a sophomore, was a huge part of that success. He has 1,358
passing yards in four games, including 433 yards and three touchdowns in
a 38-35 win at Arizona on Sept. 29."
Oregon St. will have to rely on backup QB Cody Vaz, who hasn't appeared in a game since 2010.(via Dr. Saturday)
