Earlier this week, the University of Maryland squashed all speculation that they would be creating an all black or pewter football field with the re-sodding of their field this season by releasing renderings that you can see above of the new proposed field. They’ll be going with the normal green turf and paying some respect to the state of Maryland by donning the end zones with parts of the state logo. I have to say that I’m a little disappointed that parts of the all black design, that you can see here, are not going to be incorporated into the new turf.
