WR Allen Robinson cuts through traffic on his first reception of the game. Penn State beat Syracuse 23-17 at MetLIfe Stadium in E. Rutherford, NJ, Aug. 31, 2013.
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ — Well, sort of.
At the time I shot these, I was at The Meadowlands of the Great State of New Jersey. It was so damn muggy and hot that day, I swear if it wasn’t 20 minutes from my house, I’d regret going. This was a really fun game to shoot, as there was ample sideline room and the press box was like a luxury hotel. But those stupid black rubber pellets on the field turf filled my shoes by the halftime and were a pain to kneel on.
My favorite shot was the one you see above, as Allen Robinson’s second catch of the day went for a touchdown. There aren’t the usual dozens of photos in this gallery, but I’ve simply not had time this season to make such large galleries as in the past. Enjoy. I’ll be posting the PSU-Michigan photos in the next few days, if not tonight. Stay tuned.
