Pioli's Chiefs Will try to win now, not worry about later
The Kansas City Chiefs have a new General Manager in Scott Pioli, yes the same Scott Pioli from the New England Patriots. The Chiefs have alot of young guys like Dwayne Bowe, Derrick Johnson and Glen Dorsey along with some very good defensive backs also on this team are some old guys that want out, First theres future hall of famer Tony Gonzalez and he will still be wearing the red and gold next season and beyond but Larry Johnson he will not return to the Chiefs, the guy says he wants out, only one problem!! not many teams want him or his headaches that he brings to the team, many teammares have said he is a cancer to the team and the lockerroom.
Chan Gailey was announced the offensiver cordinator for 2009 but Head Coach Todd Haley will call the play on gameday. Tyler Thigpen will be the Starter on opening day unless some miracle trade happens and the Chiefs can land a guy like Colt Brennan from Washington. I would prefer Brady Quinn but it doesn't look likely to happen.
The Draft is right around the corner and it looks like it could be with the first pick Sanchez or stafford for the QB position also Aaron Curry at LB has been mentioned, other guys to look at in this draft Michael Crabtree, Josh Freeman, Darius Heyward Bey and my darkhorse selection for the Chiefs QB is yep I never thought I would say this......... Pat White QB WVU this guy looked great at the Senior Bowl and at the combines looks sharp makes all the throws, he has great arm strength and really has showed up some of the higher profile QB's in this draft.
The Chiefs will make a Splash in Free Agency this year look for about 3-5 big name players to dawn the Chiefs Red and Gold this season. One things is for sure in Kansas City, it's a new day a new dawn at Arrowhead!
