It's not often that you can surrender 500 yards on defense and still win a game by 27, but that's exactly what the Pitt Panthers did in a 54-27 win over Buffalo.The Panther D was torched by Buffalo QB Zach Maynard to the tune of 400 yards and four TDs; however, Pitt was packing some offense of its own, most notably freshman phenom Dion Lewis, who bested his 128-yard, three-touchdown output last week with 190 yards rushing, 46 yards receiving, and two scores on Saturday. The Panthers also got a career game from late-blooming TE Dorin Dickerson, who had seven first-half catches and three touchdowns from QB Bill Stull. Stull was an efficient 21-30 for 172 yards and three TDs, with no picks (although he nearly threw one in the Panthers' first drive).As for the Pitt defense, they allowed touchdowns of 24, 54, 67, and 12 yards, so we know they're not allergic to the big play.
