In what I have nicnamed the Survival Bowl, this week Syracuse will meet up with Pittsburgh in a game that could actually mark the end of the road for the coach that loses it.

Carr on the hill?
Last night I came home from a nice time out with my wife to read on Troy Nunes is an absolute Magician that Lloyd Carr (yes, the ex Michigan coach) was on the Syracuse Campus. Sean had a link to another great SU site, Orange::44, who was the one reporting this. A week ago Brent Axe had commented in his post game blog about Carr being on campus.
When you pass the line...
Well, I been waiting a bit, had to make sure I was correct in seeing that Antown Bailey, the young man inserted into the game tied and the Panthers gaining momentum, had never been on the field yet.
Pitt vs SU: The Final Thoughts
With just a bit more than an half hour to go it is time to do my "Last Thoughts" for what could truly be one of the most important games for both teams today.
Pitt vs SU: The Recap
I think that what I saw today when Pittsburgh played Syracuse is basically what the program has been under Greg Robinson. The team will get done what they can do on raw talent, but they aren't able to build on constructive football.
Another interview with "Da Beat of N.Y."
Another week, another opponent and so it must mean it is time to once again talk a bit about the Syracuse Orange with Da Beat of N.Y. He is going to speak about what he thinks that this team needs to do in the first Big East game
Winning isn't an explosion, it's a mentality
I did my recap for the Syracuse game, and you can read it here. But I have to say this, which I didn't want to put into the other blog. What happened to Robinson's theory that when the team wins it's going to explode, or whatever he said in the ESPN interview?
Kiffin reminds me of...
Everytime I read the name Lane Kiffin and Syracuse I just think of one person: Steve Spurrier. Yes, the head coach who all thought was superman at Florida, but has shown to be human now that he is at South Carolina.
Who could have won that game? Not Robinson!
I just wanted to get this small post out, because something was said that truly has me going off here. It was Brent Axe the culprit, and he said "Lloyd Carr would have won this game" (followed by a couple of kidding's) in his Blogging in the Box from the Carrier Dome.
Even D.C. knows how bad SU is
While there are plenty of people that might say that ESPN isn't as good as it could be, or that there is a lot better out there than the World Leader in Sports, the fact is pretty simple (at least for me), when the Bristol, Connecticut based company speaks, a lot of people listen and follow.
