Playoff Reflections, Day Five

Cubs fans, I feel very sorry for you all -- seriously. I and probably 90% of the baseball world expected you all to just beat Arizona, but it was not to be. The good Drew, Stephen (not J.D., sorry Ian, but I never liked him to begin with) along with Eric "Captain America" Byrnes, Chris Young and cast of others swept Chicago in three games. They once again trumped Chicago's pitching, and now they have advanced to the NLCS, thanks to a dominating 5-1 victory. This time Cubs fans cannot blame the Curse of the Billy Goat, black cats or Steve Bartman. No, it was the lack of offense and the big-free agent signings who did not do their jobs.
