Please Don't Mess With Perfection

Some classic movies stand up as well today as they did when released... and remakes of said classics would not just be a bad idea, but an abysmal one. Think of The Godfather. This Is Spinal Tap. Raiders of the Lost Ark. The Natural. The Princess Bride. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Nothing about these films cries out, "Please, do it again but with modern actors, and tweak the plots for modern audiences," right? When a rare movie is done well enough the first time, leave it alone.Well an all-time classic is under siege in Hollywood, and one that we as hockey fans should tremble at the thought of what today's moviemakers would do to a classic.
