Series History: 3-0 Army including a 17-13 win last season.
Matchup: Army faces another passing offense this week, but not quite as speedy as what Hawai’i had to offer last Saturday. Army figured out how to stop the Warriors in the second half, effectively shutting down their high-powered aerial attack. With Mean Green starting quarterback Nathan Tune out due to injury, Army should be able to have their way defensively. Backup Derek Thompson will step in for Tune. Defensively North Texas has ranked near the bottom of the country, so look for Army to find success on the ground for the third week in a row. Coach Ellerson has talked about the offense needing one more play, so look for a new wrinkle offensively.
Player to Watch: QB Trent Steelman. Though Army was able to move the ball fairly well with Max Jenkins in at quarterback, Steelman is a leader on this team and was the catalyst for Army’s scoring drives last week. Je...
