Penn State’s football team did end up getting some good news today. Gerald Hodges and Jordan Hill have been named to the preseason watch lists for the Nagurski and Outland awards respectively…that is of course IF Penn State has a football team next year. Assuming they do, you have to think after the seasons these guys put together last year, they’re going to be just as good this year, especially with the help they’ll have around them on one of the nation’s best defenses last year to take some of the pressure off.
After Devon Still, Hodges was easily the Nittany Lions best defensive player last year, and he’s got a lot to play for this year. He’s already been named to the Bendarik Award watch list that goes to the nation’s top defender and the Lott IMPACT watch list. Hodges was a beast last year, leading the Lions in tackles with 106 while adding 10 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks – not too shabby considering PSU’s linemen deal with rushing the quarterback more than the backers. Bobby Bowden: Joe Paterno statue should be removed
Bobby Bowden and Joe Paterno had an ongoing rivalry to see who could outlast the other to top the leaderboard for most wins in a coaching career. In light of being peers and competitors, Bowden...

This report perfectly illustrates Penn State's problem. If someone is trying to manage information is broadcast in the student center, is it really a stretch to imagine those with real power engaging in a cover-up to protect the institutional image?

NCAA to wait for 'appropriate time' for action on Penn State
I don't think that Penn State is out of the wood yet and I do believe that there has to be some kind of NCAA punishment or sanctions for Penn State University. What happened on their campus is disgusting and heinous crime and might have been covered up.
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) – The NCAA says that it will decide on whether to take action at the "appropriate time...

Maybe they were oblivious to why those satellite trucks were in front of the football stadium. You know, because after all, it is Penn State and big...
