Last season, Burton led Venice High School to an 11-1 record while throwing for 1,699 yards with 19 TD’s and 1,173 yards and 28 TD’s on the ground. The Indians made it to the Class 5A regional semifinals last year but lost to Punta Gorda Charlotte.
