PLAYERS: Robert Griffin
TEAMS: Baylor Bears

Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III looked set to fast-track his decision on whether to enter the NFL draft after Thursday's wild Alamo Bowl. If, as expected, Griffin opts to go pro over returning for his senior season, he will have signed off from college football in style after leading Baylor to a 67-56 victory over Washington in a record-breaking night in San Antonio. Having previously said he would wait until the draft deadline to declare, Griffin suggested he would decide "pretty soon here, probably" when quizzed over his future in a postgame interview. Griffin actually was overshadowed Thursday by opposing quarterback Keith Price, who threw for 438 yards and four touchdowns, while running for three more scores in Washington's doomed effort. By contrast, Griffin was 24 for 33 with 295 yards and one touchdown, while running for another. But no one was in any doubt as to his value to the Bears after a remarkable year. Thursday's bowl success secured Baylor its first postseason win in 19 years and first 10-win season since a 10-2 finish in 1980, while also placing both it and Washington in the history books. The remarkable game set new standards for total yards (1,397) in a bowl game, equaled the record for touchdowns (16) and was only two points shy of the record for total points.
