It has been going around online for a while that with the #1 overall pick, the Rams will select QB Sam Bradford from Oklahoma. I agree. This is the type of move you have to make for a team without a franchise QB. Over the past year, here on prosportsblogging.com, I had written how I thought Bulger would get his game back together, but that wasn’t the case. His release two weeks ago proves this point.
Anyways back to the draft. Now that the Rams will have their new franchise QB in tow, I expect them to get some skill to help him on offense. A wide receiver like Demayrius Thomas (if he falls) or Golden Tate would be a great pickup early in the second round.
Tate, with his ability to run after the catch, would be great to have for a QB like Bradford, who doesn’t have an amazingly strong arm.
For defense, the Rams could use a defensive line help, linebackers, and a quality corner. A name like DT/DE Brian Price from UCLA , who has been mentioned as a guy with 1st round value, could be a...
