Charlie Strong had his third radio show of the season on Thursday night at the Tumbleweed restaurant on River Rd. Coach Strong didn’t share any ground breaking news on the program, but here is a brief recap.
As always, there was some talk about star quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. Coach Strong talked about how although Bridgewater was great last year; he’s really improved a lot from sophomore to junior season.
Coach Strong says the team will travel to Lexington on Friday afternoon.
When asked about goals, Strong said that he doesn’t set weekly goals for his team. They have season goals that they set for themselves.
When talking about the match-up with Kentucky, one the main points of emphasis was the speed of the Kentucky’s offense. Not how fast the players are, but how fast the plays are called. Strong’s comments were pretty simple. He says that he’s confident that Kentucky won’t be in better shape therefore the up-tempo style will wear down on both teams. Let it be known that he wa...

This weekend has a big game at the top of the rankings, No. 1 Alabama (AP No. 1) at No. 5 Texas A&M (AP No. 6). If the Aggies prevail, there will surely be a big shift in the upper tier of the CFU Top 126 and major polls. The Aggies could jump to number one in the CFU rankings as a result of a victory or the Tide could expose A&M in the Aggies' first real test this season...
As it stands today, Louisville offensive coordinator Shawn Watson is pretty loaded in the backfield. However, when it comes to recruiting, you’re always looking to add continued talent and depth.
D’Ernest Johnson, a four star running back from Immokalee, FL., is currently a top target for Charlie Strong’s staff and apparently the feeling is mutual. Johnson shared this photo...
Shawn Watson and Kenny Carter have plenty of options when it comes to running the football. The trio of Senorise Perry, Michael Dyer and Dominique Brown gives Louisville arguably one of the deepest backfields in the country. While all three guys have proven to be solid running backs at the collegiate level, none have stepped up and earned the full time starting job.

The thing about Teddy Bridgewater is that he has no fear.
Watch him get creamed by Florida’s Dominique Easley, surviving a knockout blow on his first play in the Sugar Bowl. Watch him get to his feet and complete a 25-yard pass to Eli Rogers for a first down on the next play. Watch him pick Florida apart.
Watch him play with ankle and wrist injuries while leading his University...
University of Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater found a new weapon last week, connecting with tight end Gerald Christian for five catches and a touchdown. The former Florida transfer is a big part of the U of L offense.
We’ve seen fans go to some pretty crazy extremes to show support for their beloved teams. One of the most common ways is getting a tattoo. Some recent notables are an Alabama fan’s with a pretty obvious and embarrassing spelling error, an Arkansas fan’s tattoo complete with a razorback dangling an LSU Tiger by the tail, and some Nebraska ink showing support for Jack Hoffman...

We thought it was strange enough that Louisville basketball head coach Nick Saban got a back tattoo after his team won the 2013 national title.

When you look at the first two games for the Louisville football program, statistics say that junior Michael Dyer is the best option at the running back position. Although all three running backs have been somewhat solid, Dyer is averaging an impressive 6.4 yards per carry.

Louisville sophomore linebacker Keith Brown is one of the many talented returning pieces for Vance Bedford’s defense this season. Unfortunately, the Miami native has been sidelined with an undisclosed injury for the past couple of months.
