Again the Seahawks disappoint fans with another tough loss. At least this one was close, however, and there are some good things that can be taken away.

Offensively I thought Seneca Wallace did a good job passing, he didn't have any interceptions and the five dropped balls by his receivers didn't help him.

It is exciting to see too rookie players step up today in Owen Schmitt (primarily in the first half) and John Carlson (again). Yes Carlson had a drop, but he blocked very well and also had some key receptions. The running game is still a problem. Yes Jones had some good runs, but overall it was a poor performance.

False starts plagued the Hawks, you cannot start every drive with a first and fifteen, which happened on numerous occasions. Mike Whale's false start at the two-point conversion killed them as well.

On the defensive side of the ball the Hawks played well. They scored on the first two drives but the first one was extremely lucky. The second half the defense stepped up and the secondary was much improved today. Trufant had a long overdue good performance, and of course babineaux's interception was huge too.

There is really no one single area that can be pinpointed as to why they lost this game. A combination of little mistakes, and lack of winning attitude is why they lost.
