After a questionable decision by Michigan to go for it on 4th down from their own 35-yard line, after they blocked a field goal, things got even more ridiculous. Michigan was short of the first down by a few inches, and the referees said that it was a first down. South Carolina Gamecocks Head Coach Steve Spurrier freaked out and challenged the play. The play stood as called, because there wasn’t enough evidence to overturn it. It looks as though Michigan just caught a massive break.GIF via @Bubbaprog

When South Carolina’s Jadeveon Clowney met Michigan running back Vincent Smith in the backfield of yesterday’s Outback Bowl, Twitter seemed to freeze. Nothing else was going on in the world. Forget New Years, it was all about Clowney. The reactions were rampant, wild and very NSFW.

South Carolina’s Jadeveon Clowney will more than likely be a top five pick once the 2014 season rolls around (of course barring any setbacks) and during Tuesday’s Outback Bowl we could see why. South Carolina DE Jadeveon Clowney is a veritable man among boys, and clearly one of the best—if not the best—players in college football on either side of the ball. Although South Carolina won on an epic final drive against Michigan in the Outback Bowl, quarterback Connor Shaw provided us with a humorous blunder.
Check out Shaw attempting to pump-fake the Michigan defense and ultimately fumbling the ball out of bounds:
